I really hate having carpet in trailers. I don't want to have to take a vacuum with me when camping, and after a few years, carpet is packed down and hard to clean, especially under the dinette. Plus, it picks up odors.
Other manufacturers have put vinyl in slides, so it's possible.
Of all the wishes I have in a new trailer, this is Number One.

I agree. My spree 2014 261RKS isn't too bad in the living area...small amount of carpet under the sofa which is the slide... but I don't like the carpet in the sleeping area.

I don't mind the carpet in the bedroom too much, but the carpet under my dinette is filthy. I've been looking at videos and other rv sites and putting in vinyl is possible but I'm not crazy about the way most people have done the transition with the slide. Most of them also don't have the same rubber transition piece that KZ uses. I think I'm going to look for a carpet remnant and redo the dinette for now. But next trailer will be all vinyl.

We have carpet under the dinning room table an across under the recliners, as well in the bedroom, but the main living area, hallway, bathroom are all vinyl, this was one reason why we bought ours... We do put rugs down in the bathroom an hall an one between the pantry an end of the counter but otherwise it's all vinyl except the dog pillows We have a vacuum build in so we do not have to drag a vacuum cleaner built in an i believe it's better than the one in the house picking up stuff off the carpet an floor ... x2 on the built in vacuum, thought it was a joke till I tried it, works great. Retired the Shark to the shop for vehicles.
