Joined the web site today. I'm in the market for a used RV and looked at subject model this past weekend. Both my wife and I really liked the floor plan, and the overall quality was impressive. This particular rig has sat idle for 2-3 years. Presumably that may have created a few potentiall issues in itself. If I were to make the purchase I would haul it to a local dealership that specializes in trailer maintenance and have them inspect, and replace, lube, etc.
My main concern at this point is the history of this manufacture, the Spree line, and this model. Are there any deep dark secrets that should way into my desicion? For any existing owners; and regrets, or compromises I need to be aware of?
WRT the tow vehicle, I have a 2000 F250, 7.3D and the Blue Oz Sway Pro 1500 hitch. For anyone with this setup; did you make any suspension improvements? I'm not new to towing, but this is the longest rig I've considered pulling.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It sounds like you are good to go. Trailers are much the same and need the same maintenance. To be sure that the trailer is road worthy, the brakes, frame, wheel bearings and suspension needs to be inspected and serviced. You don't need an RV dealer to do this and you might get better quality work for less cost at a local garage that has the room to work. Better yet, learn to do it yourself and the cost will be minimal.

Lynnmor, Thanks for your post. Agree with your thoughts on finding a garage, and I will do any future maintenance. -KBuck

Welcome to the forum and good luck on the new trailer. I think you will find that the KZ brand is a very solidly built unit and you should be able to enjoy it for years to come.

RV Dude, Thanks for the encouragement. I've continued my research and agree with your comments. I hope I can make contact with an existing owner(s) to get their perspective as well. -KBuck

Kbuck, I am on my 2nd KZ trailer. I bought my first one in 2007. I had it for 10 years and the only thing I ever did was have the converter replaced. I sold it earlier this year and got a 2015 toy hauler trailer. I have really enjoyed both of the KZ products. There were a few Spree trailers at the rally this summer and those owners really liked theirs as well. I believe you will have the same opinion.
