We have a couple of areas in the floor that squeak and give a little when stepped on.
One spot was by the door and stepping on that spot made it sound like the steps below were squeaking. Sure enough, dh tightened the steps and the squeak went away and the steps don't squeal when stepping on them.
The other spot is in front of the slide, about 18" from the slide wall and 6" in front of the carpeted area on the main floor. It's just one spot that squeaks and that spot gives a little more than any other in the trailer. I think our last trailer had 1/2" plywood under the vinyl so I'm used to a floor that isn't rock solid, but this is a little more than the natural give of walking on thin plywood. After tightening the steps helped the other spot, I wonder if this one has anything to do with where something is attached underneath?
Any other ideas? It sounds like a spot in our S&B where two sheets of T&G plywood meet.

marlee Your floor is 5/8" Tongue & Groove, Screwed & Glued Plywood Floor Decking The spot your talking about may be giving a little, I know when our main slide is in we get a little give on the floor, no squeak but a little give I would ask the dealer if they are not to far away to look at it, otherwise if you can hold off till next summer around the end of July or early August time frame you could come to the Kz Rally an talk with the people at Kz an have them look at it Safe travels Chuck & Hildi
