Has anyone mounted a tv under the cabinet? Id like to put one in the corner by the air conditioner. Not a whole lot of room but I'm thinking it could work. If so I'd love to see some pics. Thanks

I wonder how sturdy the underside of that cabinet really is. If I was trying this, I think I'd get me a nice strong piece of hardwood to put inside the cabinet to attach the mount to. It would help spread the load inside the cabinet.

Seems like a nice out of the way place and yet it can be seen when laying in bed, from the couch, and from one side of the dining table.

I am thinking that would be a lot of shaking and moving while going down the road and would probably, in my opinion, tear up the bottom of the cabinet over time. You might could find a mount that makes the tv easily removable, mount it up there while camping, and just remove it and lay it on the bed while moving the trailer. That might work, but I wouldn't move it down the road while hanging there.

Im only thinking of going with around around a 20”. I wouldn’t think that would be an issue.

While I'm no expert, I would think that a tv on the wall typically comes from the manufacturer with a backer plate made for such installation and therefore would be more stable as it was intended for that purpose. Mounting it to a non-wood cabinet would not provide the stability needed in my opinion. Like I said, I'm not an expert at all, these are just my opinions.

Good reasoning...I can see that especially with cabinets that are only "stapled" together. Thanks. If I do mount it there I think I will take your advice about a quick release.

Got it done! I think it’s the perfect spot. Mounted a 1/4” square of plywood inside the cabinet plus used four 1 1/2” fender washers to make sure it’s secure. The TV is just a cheap 19” Sceptre I ordered from Walmart for $69. The bracket I also ordered from there. Little spendy. About $37. But it does everything I want. I can also quickly take off the TV for when we’re on the move.

Looks nice. Glad you figured out a way to get it mounted. Thanks RvDude! Now to move on to the next (winter) project. Installing a LED light strip under the awning against the camper. I'd like to direct wire it so looks like I have some research to do. 🤔

Sounds like a good project. I don't have any ideas on that one.
