I purchased our 6th RV about 8 weeks ago, a 2004 KZ Sportsmen 2457. It was a 'leaker' like most have been, or will be. I knew what I was in for in terms of repair but I've seen much worse. Most of those issues are resolved and after a couple of trips, we like this trailer and might want to keep it for a while.
The interior is in excellent condition and all plumbing/HVAC/electrical unexpectedly works. The exterior fiberglass is in pretty good condition and is buffing out nicely. But the decals and graphics on one side and the front cap are deteriorated. I've searched the web for replacement graphics and with exception of going to Arizona and having them professionally reproduced, I can't find original replacements.
The nearest dealer is in Alabama and they were no help, maybe because I'm not a new customer. I have to believe I'm not the only person with deteriorated graphics. Obviously a 2004 is not worth $2K of reproduction graphics. I found 2008 KZ Sportsmen badges on EBay and graphics for later Sportster models from a supplier in Indiana. I thought about replacing the original badges with the later model badges from EBay but I would like to keep it original.
At minimum, I would like to get my hands on the 'guy fishing and the bear catching the fish by the mountains' (front badge) and the' little guy fishing' on the sides (side badges). Has anyone solved this problem?
Thanks, Ken
