We have a 2018 331TH12 5th wheel purchased last day of June 2017. simple question which may not gather a simple response
Does anyone find the antenna sucks? Am i doing something wrong which leads to the Channels not being detected
should the cable input (signal booster) be attached to the satellite in on the TV back side?
My booster is powered up while doing my channel search on 3 TV's in the trailer. I can get 6 channels in my driveway but while on the road I get 0 identified. I've disconnected the TV in the bedroom and ran it via air and got nothing as well.
So far all our neighbors next to us so far in various locations have had picked up a minimum of 2 channels with the old Winguard style units which the owner can spin around. ours is fixed in position.
Does anyone have a solution? there are only so many DVD's i want to carry with us when we go international with the trailer.

Sure, there is a solution, simply put that piece of junk in the garbage and get the batwing style Winegard antenna.
An omnidirectional type of antenna simply means equally poor reception in all directions.

We were having problem somewhat the same as you on are 384RLT, at the Kz Rally they replace the antenna an now it works pretty darn well. I can say the least TV station we picked up was four in Minnesota an the most we picked up was twenty some in Indiana at the Kz rally after the replace it.
Kz tech said it was the 1st one had ever seen go bad working in the RV industry for 30 years ...

My bat wing on the prior worked better than the King on this one. Now I have lost the main TV - won't turn on, another trip to a dealer.

Dropped the TV at the TX dealer and he is going to contact KZ, but I still have my 5W. Service guy said he expected 2 weeks for a new one, that TV never did seem to work as well as the bedroom.

Wow 2 week's, when going thought the 5th line at the factory I saw a rack at the very end of the line that must have had 20 or more large TV's on it an another rack with the smaller bedroom TV's on it I also so a rack in the service building with a bunch of smaller TV's on it, so I'm sure they have a supp;y of such ... . The antenna stinks. In denver i can pick up the locals for the most part. This last weekend our camping club was outside of colorado springs on top of a hill. I got one lousy channel. 7 other rigs got 13 to 15 channels. One pair of rabbit ears got 5.

The Tech (Chuck) at the rally replaced my booster as well thinking it my be that, but as I stated it was the antenna. I will tell you without the antenna booster on which in our case is behind the bedroom TV, TV reception really sucks an without doing the channel scan an changing from cable to air you will have limited channels Chuck

Keep in mind that "booster" switch disconnects the antenna when turned off.
