We have a 2017 381REF that we full time in, it is paid for and we'd like for it to last a good long time, so wear and tear on the rig from the rough roads is a big deal to us. We have a nicely made 5th wheel, but it does not have the strongest frame and running gear, so we decided to upgrade. We got the 8K MorRYDE Independent Suspension and electric over hydraulic 8K disc brakes. We also added the MorRYDE rubber isolation pin box. Our hitch is a Hensley Trailer Saver air ride hitch. We also changed out our wheels and tires to 17.5" high spec aluminum wheels and Goodyear G114 "H" rated tires. This last upgrade should just about eliminate tire failures from our life experiences ... at least that's the plan. These upgrades are very robust and costly, but they give us a real step up in safety and security which are important to us as full time RVers.
