Need to invest in a cover for my Durango Gold 384RLT before the leaves start falling and the PNW winter sets in. Any suggestions on manufacturers or websites that you would be comfortable with the protection of your unit? Thanks

Reading some of the other forum posts concerning " To Cover or Not to Cover" leaves me caught somewhere in the middle. I live in the Pacific Northwest and the only clear area I have on my property to park the Durango puts the tail end of the 5th wheel under a canopy of trees. The Montana 3400 we owned prior to this one suffered staining from the falling leafs and tree sap, trying to avoid a repeat with the new one. Down the road we'll be investing in a metal canopy but for the time being I'm looking at covers.

I'd also rather put up a (big!) car port, but not in the cards for a while. I've seen roof covers that look interesting. Just covers the roof area, little ways down the side. I live in central Texas, sun is our main problem. I'd like to protect the roof and be able to leave the slides out and have door access. We travel every month year around so we don't really put it up for the winter, different I guess from up north. I had a full Tyvek cover(adco I think)for a much smaller travel trailer and liked it, but don't want to wrap it up the way I did that one. It was accessible with the side in, this one really isn't. I to live in the NW about 40 miles the way the crow fly's from John in Graham but we have no trees on our property... I looked at Car ports, 20X40 by 16ft high an the want 5k for such, looking at covers they want anywhere from $350 to over $500 depending on the brand ...
As some people say, they trailer is made to be out in the weather, I have the extra coating on our an a 5 year warranty against fading but I still wonder like John to cover or not cover. It's also like some people have covers for their tires an cover them even when camping, I cover ours in the winter but never in the summer while out an about, so I believe this is another discussion like covering or not to cover your trailer ...
I know there is tons of comment on this subject on other RV reflectors an web sites so it would be interesting what other think over here as well, in the past as i said I covered my tires but never the trailer in the winter. I do wax our trailer at least twice a year, so it has some extra protection. I just got done this week of doing such so it has the extra protect for the upcoming rainy season that last till almost next July ...

I have never covered the tires on my trailers. But, I do have an 18 x 40 metal cover over my fifth wheel. Since the trailer is 13 years old, it helps protect the roof and keep it from leaking. Not to mention, that my light bills are really reasonable. And, I keep the KZ under a covered storage as well.
