As much as I don't like seeing it come, it is inevitable that winter will soon be here. I want to protect my investment the best as I can from such. Is there a preference of storage options using a cover, or just winterizing and parking the coach. Just looking for opinions on what other RV'ers use.

In my opinion, Summer is more damaging than Winter. Strong sunlight dries caulk, yellows plastic, fades decals and weakens tire rubber, just to name a few negative effects. The best protection is indoor storage, I built a pole barn and the trailer is always in it when not in use. If you can't build, perhaps you can rent a space.
A cover offers some protection but is difficult to install so most people use it once a year till they give up. I used one years ago and it helped. If you choose a cover, be sure that you protect it from sharp edges by applying foam weather stripping or similar material as needed. If the cover moves much from wind, it can slightly abrade the finish.

Personal preference. In 20+ years, except for tires, I have never covered my rigs. Moisture has to go someplace. Do you cover your house or car?
