I had a similar issue on my 2016 KZ Showstopper. Couldn't determine why it was corroding inside the trailer where it is relatively dry and free from exposure to any environmental issues, but suspect it's due to a poor job of preparing the metal before plating (btw, my leg is steel, not aluminum). I cleaned mine up as best as I could with fine steel wool and sprayed the leg with clear lacquer.
