I am happy to have found this forum. We just bought a 1998 KZ Sportsmen 2301. It has been well cared for by folks who showed their love of camping by treating the trailer with care. We know very little about this trailer. Though it was a "1 owner" it was bought from a used RV dealer who had little info on the original owner. All we have to go on is the general overall appearance of the unit which shows great care. If anyone can give us some hints on traveling with this unit, perhaps some of it's idiosyncrasies. We welcome all info. Thank you in advance. LyndaK

Hello,
All trailers are approximately the same and need similar maintenance. I suggest that the most important thing is to do those things that make it roadworthy and safe.
Tires no more than 7 years old. Wheel bearings cleaned, inspected and packed. Brakes inspected and adjusted. Springs, hangers, bushings inspected for wear and rust. Check frame for cracks and broken welds.
After you know all of the above is good, we can get into the pretty stuff.
If you need help with any of the above, let us know.
