I have a winegard antenna I was looking at the RV wing wingman booster to get a better signal. Has anyone tried one of these and do they work very good.

They will improve reception. Before you buy, check that there is room for it in the storage position. I had to cut off the last element because KZ can't read the instructions that came with the antenna. Note the 10" clearance in Fig. 1. ManualI talked to Winegard and they said the element removal will reduce the gain by 1/3.

I checked I have 12 inches of clearance between it and my vent when in stored position. Thanks I never even thought of that.

If you're able to get OTA reception everywhere you go, then just the regular antenna that came with your trailer is probably the best you can do. I use a portable sat dish. 99% of the time I have excellent reception. Or just stay in campgrounds that have cable.

I retrofitted the original Winegard antenna with the Winegard RVRZ39W White Rayzar Air HDTV Antenna. It only improved reception slightly. But then I bought and installed the WINEGARD SENSAR PRO TV SIGNAL METER BLACK RFL-332. This meter (and amplifier) replaces the original amplifier and gives a dispay of signal strength. This alllows you to fine tune the antenna direction to get the best signal. It will also scan for available channels. It also has a switch on it that allows you to switch between cable and antenna. When I get to a campground that doesn't have cable, I use website www.fcc.gov/media/engineering/dtvmaps to find available channels. All you do is type in the zip code of where you are and the site will tell you what channels are available, signal strength and the direction from your location so you can point the antenna. Works good for me.

The Winegard batwing with the Wingman added has been tested by experts and proven to have the best reception of any RV antenna. bc75, don't waste your money, just add the Wingman for a small amount of money and two minutes of labor and you are done.
