Hi, just for clarification, it's not just KZ that has the fire extinguisher recall. It's the brand Kidde that has the recall. It affects a lot of RV manufacturers and home improvement stores that sell small fire extinguishers. Plus it covers a LOT of years for recalls, from 1973 to 2017. Here is the link for the recall: inmarmarketaction.com/kidde/Mine was swapped out pretty painlessly. When shipping the old one back, you do need to notify the shipper that you're sending a fire extinguisher. That's all explained very well in the documentation you get. |

I guess I should have said such in my post but they stated they were going to look at a 366 so I commented on that trailer only  I'm glad you got your Johnr fire extinguisher, I been waiting now 4 months an 4 phone calls for ours, I just called over a week ago again an was told someone contact me Ugh !!! Well I bought the Durango 2500 318RLT today. got a great deal at 35% off MSRP and a rear observation unit. The info in this and the linked thread were very useful. I will set up the date for the PDI and pick up in the near future. Looking forward to this new chapter in our life!
It was a 8 hour round trip in some nasty snow squalls and wind but overall a great day.

4 months? Wow.. I want to say I filed my claim in October, maybe early November? I got the fire extinguisher at the beginning of January, plus I received a letter in December from them apologizing for the delay.
Are you sure you filled out the claim correctly?

dub Congratulation on the new Durango 2500 318RLT  Now you know that four letter word starting with a "S" an ending in a "W" is not allowed on this site  Safe travels an don't forget about the Kz national rally in August near the Kz factory, last year we toured the Kz factory when 2500's were being built, so you might see a 318rlt in production, one never knows Safe Travels an happy Glamping  Chuck |

Yep four months form filled out twice an 4 phone calls ....  I'm going to fill out the form again today !!! Had to come home in NE Ohio for a few days just so I could shovel some snow. Will be leaving to go back to Florida Thursday or Friday.

Congrats dub- from another 318 RLT owner. We looked at every Mfg/floorplan before buying ours, I think you will be as pleased with yours as we are with ours.

I got confused between the push button and plastic handle makes and filled out all the wrong forms. They won't let you do it over the phone or is there a mail-in option? |

After a number of attempts last year I finally received my replacement fire extinguisher, looking dealer a few week ago when dropping off our trailer I saw they had replaced most all the fire extinguishers in new trailers but found one not change, they must have missed one LOL
