I bought a portable bbq from home depot and tried to hook it up to the outdoor propane port (Spree 322). Pilot lit but barely enough flame to stay lit. Direct to the tank using the little regulator that came with the bbq--worked fine. My question is--do different propane stoves use different pressures ie do you need a special bbq to use the outdoor propane outlet on the trailer. I hooked up to the bbq without using the regulator that came with the bbq, thinking the propane pressure is already regulated at the tank-- Any advice--thanks

Your grill was designed for full tank pressure, going thru two regulators resulted in low flow.

looks like maybe the valve on the outlet is broken-- I open it and smell no gas coming through

I got it!! the bbq is fine/ the valve is fine but the brand new hose is plugged--seems when they crimped on the ends, they blocked the hose- reemed it out a bit with a wire and everything works-- licensed gas manufacturers pfft

Glad you found it. I didn't follow your original post, thinking you were back to using both regulators.
