I have a 2010 spree 265ks with the two slides. The kitchen area is very dark and I am contemplating putting in a skylight. I would be much happier if I had some construction drawings and knew where the wiring and ac vent trunking went. I did watch a you tube video of a 2008 being constructed but it does not give the degree of detail I want. I have emailed the factory with no reply so does anyone know where or if one can get drawings?

If you could contact one of the factory repairmen, they can print out a frame drawing. The problem is getting past management.
There will be no drawing showing the location of wiring.
If you have 4 foot wide ceiling panels, a rafter will be on the seam and every 16" from there. Your best bet is to pull down lamps, AC vents, roof vents and speakers to see and map out the wiring and ducts.

A stud finder with metal detection and live wire warning could also be helpful for areas you can't see. Amazon has a Zircon model for under $30.

Boy looking at the pictures of the spree as lynnmor stated i'd get a stud finder for sure, lots of stuff in that roof from what I can see. Looks like light wiring, air conditioner vents and duct work, wow, looks like a great DIY project taking your time As you say it looks really dark in there If you undertake it, could you post step by step pictures of how you did it I'd as well as other would like to see how it's done an come out Safe Travels Chuck and Hildi out and about in MO.

Thanks for the inputs. I contacted a couple of rv repair shops and estimates vary from $500-$1200, which is pretty rich. A lot of guess work to factor in. I am uncertain about how long the light shaft is on the roof dome as from the 2008 video there is quite a camber to the aluminum roof framing.
I am also investigating door skins for the front of the fridge which, if reflective, may distribute the light around the kitchen area. This might be an easy fix with little risk.

Ian It may be worth the investment o have someone do i, thus if it leaks they are on the hook, also putting a light finish on the frig may be the cheap way to go thus bring in a little more light If you want to travel a ways south on I-5 I know a good RV shop off Exit 88, did a roof on our old 5th wheel, looked like it was put on by the factory when they were done, yes they are pricey but worth every penny ... Had some marker lights and security lights along with a hot water tank worked on at the same RV shop, took a short trip an found that the hot water tank was not working. Returned to shop said one of the security lights was not working along with water heater... Service manager went out to the trailer saw the light not working, tried hot water, saw it was not working, looked in back of the water heater, turned on a valve they had put in had a tech completely replace light ... Service manager stated that there would be no charge for any work done to water heater nor lights prior an my money would be refunded, sorry for having to come back, have a nice day They are only 10 miles away, so taking the trailer back was not a problem, but the service as far as I am concerned is way above the norm an very hard to fine anywhere now days Safe Travels Chuck and Hildi out and about in MO.

These pictures from the factory a couple of years ago might help you. You can re-route wires but look out for the AC ducts. Good Luck.
