Anyone with a Continu.us antenna able to share your experiences with it? I've never heard of it and that is what is on my C241RKS that I pick up tomorrw. What little I have found online was mostly negative. My trade in had King antenna which was pretty good. Thanks

On a positive note, you can break them down and they make a great paint stirrer.

You might tell the dealer you want your old antenna on your new trailer in working condition, most but not all dealers will do just about anything for you before you sign on the dotted line to get you to buy the trailer you have stated you wanted ...
Make sure you do a very long PDI, make them turn on and off everything at least three times, this means stove (oven & top burners), if two TV's make sure they show you that both the cable, an your outside antenna work ( there is a number of posts including mine on outside antenna's attached to the trailer that were not working ). If slide's make sure the slide or slides open all the way, not part way, ( If the trailer has a slide Check inside to make sure the slide seal is against the wall and not out a number of inches off the wall )
Sorry if i got off topic but I read more and more questions that new owns have about their trailers or 5th wheels that the techs did not tell people about their trailer...
All of us here are here to help you if you have a question, but the techs should cover your new trailer front to back, top to bottom, side to side ... Even us as old timers that have trailer, campers, 5th wheels etc miss things, please do not take affiance to what ever I have said, these are just reminders of things I have read here on this site from new as well as old RV'ers
Safe travels

Everything worked well except the tv antenna. Could not tune in a single digital channel. The radio antenna is built in to the same antenna. Could hardly tune in a station and certainly not my favorite one. This omni directional antenna is totally worthless. KZ really scraped the bottom of the barrel with this model. I talked to another camper with the same antenna and they also could get no reception. Granted, the camping spots were heavily treed but have always been able to tune several channels in the past with old RV. Local stations only 30-40 miles away. Went to WM and purchased an indoor/outdoor antenna. Installed indoors and wow - does what it is supposed to do. Hard to believe that a cheap antenna inside the RV would perform better than the one installed on the RV roof.

The one I have is stationary. Can't be cranked up or down or pointed in any direction. Reviewers on Amazon agree it is a piece of junk. Lynmor is being generous when he said it would make a great paint stirrer - LOL.

We have a king jack antenna, it dozen't go up or down just turns from side to side... When we left the Kz rally I didn't turn it straight forward so might have tweaked I bit ... They had a heck of a time getting the old body to fit the newer jack antenna, reason they used the old body assemble was the tech didn't want to leave a big gap on the roof membrane an have to fill it with goop, thus he used the old antenna body with the new antenna ...

We had a king jack on the Koala we traded in for this new KZ. It worked pretty well but not as good as the Winegard crank up model we had on our 2011 KZ Sportsman. I could have asked the dealer to swap the antennas before closing but didn't for 3 reasons. First, I was hoping the new antenna would be a decent performer and second, I really didn't want to take a chance that the swap would require extensive mods or a new or larger hole in the roof. Plus I would have needed an am antenna. At that time, I wasn't aware that the am antenna is built in with the continuus unit.

Yep, some times it better to have a bird in hand than two in the bush Maybe this time you should have tried for one of the birds in the bush LOL When they replace our King Jack it was a newer model than the one I had. The tech spent an hour or more changing the King Jack head to fit my old base so he would not have to put any more goop on the roof an thus down the road make for a leaky roof ... I have to say the three tech that were there made sure everything was put together very well, you could not ask for better people both from LCI an Kz, I can't say enought about them ... Old thread but updated info. A year ago I was complaining about not being able to tune in channels with the Continu.us antenna in our Connect C241RLK. Purchased a ClearStream indoor/outdoor antenna and have no problem tuning in everything. Recently took some time to pull out the rats nest mess of tv/antenna cables behind the amp plate and to make a long story short, the cables were connected to the wrong inputs at the amplifier plate. Corrected connection and now getting signals, although not as strong as the ClearStream in some locations.

My reception is crap too, 2017 KZ.

The inputs on the back of the amp plate cover. That is the plastic wall cover plate that has the cable screwed from the plate cover to the tv. Unscrew wall plate and check that cables are screwed in to the correct inputs.

Unscrew wall plate and check that cables are screwed in to the correct inputs. Wow - easy mistake to make I suppose. Makes me wonder why KZ doesn't color-code the connections for easy assembly. Also wonder why they didn't test it afterwards. We've never used our TV antenna (no TV in the camper) but got a laugh one time when a fellow camper noticed our HF radio antenna and asked if it was our TV antenna. It really was not growing out of her head.
Glad your antenna/cable issues were sorted out.

Nice antenna, I have a screwdriver mobile antenna made by Larry's antenna's www.kj7u.com/ on our truck that I use, along with a new Yaesu 991A which replace my ICOM 706Mk II G this past year for mobile an portable operation
I have ran HF mobile for now 40 some years an always fun to make contacts with such, I have thought about getting the Buddy pole antennas or possibly the newer portable antenna setup made by steppir antenna's
But I have not won the lotto yet so the price tag of the Steppir antenna is a far reach from me check book LOL
73 an Safe travels
