So glad I wasn't on the road, traveling, I would most likely have had a real mess on my hands. I have 2 mirrors attached to outside walls both above the bathroom and bedroom sinks. The DW wanted me to open up the trailer yesterday and to my surprise I found the mirror from the bedroom on the floor. In all their wisdom KZ mounted the mirrors to the wall with double sided tape.
Geez, Well add this to the list of stuff I going to tell them about at the rally. This might turn into a bitchfest.
Thankfully the mirror did not get damaged, but if we were on the road I can just imagine that I would have had broken glass everywhere. Well it's off to the Home Depot this morning to find something to reinstall the mirrors more securely.
If you people with Durango's are planning on traveling anytime soon.......better check those mirrors

Almost exactly what I was looking for but I have 2 things working against me
1) went to Lowes and Home Depot nether carry that in a size that will accommodate a 3/4" wooden frame
2) DW wasn't keen on putting "holes" in the wall board.
I was actually thinking about drilling a 4 holes into the mirror's wooden frame and into the wall board inserting plastic anchors into the wall board and using decorative screws through the mirror. Got shot down on that one also.
DW does not like holes and it's not going to be an easy sell to convince her. Back to square one.

Might try the Command hooks but they maybe affected by heat. The holes in the frames a good choice, send her to the store ...... done when she gets home.

Let's see... 4 holes with decorative screws or broken mirror pieces everywhere... that seems like an easy choice.

As i was making up the list I believe i stated that I was not out to complain but to discuss a number of thing this group has come across ... Butching will get you no were, when doing so people take offense to such, once that happens everything you say falls on deaf ears .... I want it to be positive feed back not offensive feed back Chuck

Already done, check yesterday twice, they seem to be nice and tight but I will keep an I on them for sure In the mean time I will be thinking of what to do to make them more secure, I am not a person to drill holes in our trailers unless I really have to. It really scares me that I might just slip and then there is a hole in the side of the trailer and the DW screaming at me "THERE IS A HOLE IN OUR TRAILER WHAT IN THE &(^(& did you do " Ugh !

If you people with Durango's are planning on traveling anytime soon.......better check those mirrors Yep ... they do that. There are a LOT of staples used also. Assume your shelves need to be reinforced, and you'll probably be correct.

DW would not let me put any kind of hole into the mirror frame or wallboard, so I got some two sided Gorilla tape. The Gorilla tape says it will hold 1lb for every 2" of tape, Mirror weighs 11lbs. (yes I weighed it) so 60" of Gorilla tape went on, 30" per side. Cleaned the wallboard and mirror with alcohol.
So far so good
