Hello! We just purchased our first TT and it's a beautiful 2007 KZ Spree 240BH. It is in fantastic shape and our kids are VERY sad we'll have to wait until Spring to actually GO camping.
We just parked the camper in the driveway here in the beautiful mountains of Virginia, but are having a little trouble. We owned a pop-up prior to this and were always able to take the joint off the ball of the hitch...for some reason we're not able to lift the lever to get the camper off the truck. Managed with the weight distribution bars and anti-sway bar just fine...struggling with the SIMPLE! :-) We removed the pin, we just can't get the lever up...are we missing a step somewhere?

We got it...it was just stuck. Nice to know it's as simple as we thought...funny how after 3 days in the truck, tempers can get a little high.

Kelley, I've had that happen a lot, and it's always the weight of the trailer pushing forward on the hitch. It can be something as simple as a stick behind one of the wheels causing the trailer to have a little forward bias. The simplest solution I've found is to block the trailer wheels with your wheel chocks, then get in the truck and put it in drive to let the truck move forward a tiny bit. Not much, just enough to move the hitch ball forward in the socket.
Hopefully you'll be able to remember this in the spring. ;D
