Yep 1st one we have ever owned to see in a magazine Even thought we have had a few hiccups I still think we made the best choice picking the Kz and not the Montana's we looked at, I really believe it's a better built trailer overall... I'm sure that their are Montana owners who would disagree but the DW and I look at both almost for two days at the RV show and another day at the dealers lot even after we had made the commitment to by the 384RLT and new we had made the dissension without a doubt in our minds, we still fell the same way Safe Travels Chuck & Hildi

I think I figured out what Trailer Life was saying about the bath fixtures. After rereading the article several (hundred) times the comment is being directed at the shower faucet and shower head. Both are plastic in mine. Trailer Life also had the same complaint when reviewing a DRV. The shower faucet and shower head are a huge improvement over what came standard in out old Montana.
There are things I liked in that Montana (not many) over the Durango but I'm sure that is true about everything. There are also some things in the Durango that I am amazed at like how quiet the new generation of appliances are like the dishwasher and the washer and dryer, both make less noise than the units we have in our stick built. The washer and dryer are the biggest improvement, the units we had in our old Montana sounded like thrashing machines compared to the new units.
Still lovin' our Durango and can't wait to put it to the real test this fall/winter when we go to Florida.

Like Edd505 We have brushed metal faucets in both sinks and shower with a chromed plastic shower head the works pretty well I also have to say. Maybe that is what the were talking about the plastic in the shower head ? I have looked a few othe brands, I have to tell you looking on the Good Sam reflector at some of the DRV pictures the inside almost looks the same, in fact I thought one guy had a Durango Gold and turned out to a DRV. We didn't put in the washer an dryer, we do not live in ours part time so there was no need, that isn't to say that maybe next year I can get the DW to go South in the winter But the frig and also the furnace when working along with the air conditioner is 50 percent quieter than our old Coachmen Chaparral DS277, when on you can't hardly hear them running Safe Travels Chuck & Hildi

Just talking about the shower not the sinks Yep the only plastic is the shower head everything else is the brushed metal. Had the Oxygenics head in the last 5W and I like the stock KZ shower head better.

Had the Oxygenics head in the last 5W and I like the stock KZ shower head better. I am pleased with all the fixtures and I really don't understand the complaint from Trailer Life?? Could they be prettier/better looking??? If I had any thing to improve in the bath area it would be the medicine cabinet, it looks bigger than it really is but that is just nit picking.
I'm sure everything can be improved on, some things should be in the first place just to make a better functioning product, others things would just wind up making the unit more expensive with no actual benefit.

Yep I agree on the more expensive without any benefit, I'm still wonder thought were you put the toilet paper hanger or the bigger towel racks in the bathroom or are you just hanging towels over the shower doors Ugh

After about 50 days in mine this year I know I will be changing the bathroom door. It opens in and if ..... someone went down in there you can not get in. Found this out when a draw opened traveling and we couldn't open it. Lucky the DW has an arm small enough to get the drawer closed and open the door. There is not enough wall for a sliding barn type door and opening out would have other issues so it will likely be a folding door of some kind.

We have packet doors, one into the hall an one into the bedroom, still don't know if I like it yet. The bed takes up allot of room and it's sort of a squeeze between the bed and wall thought the main door going into the bedroom
