Anyone had a problem when hooking up to city water the tank fills then fills up fresh water tank and overflows through fresh water input? I called McClains in Corinth, TX where I bought the unit and they had no idea how to fix the problem. I was told someone would call me back and refer to a local repair facility since it is still under warranty. That was 2 days ago... :-( The manuals have not been helpful either. There must be a valve or switch somewhere that controls this.
The other issue is a tear in the front of the trailer. Has anyone had this problem?
I live in Texas, but am currently in the state of Washington near Bremerton.
Thanks! Jingle

jingle,
first we would need to know what kind of trailer you are having the problem with.

The check valve in your water pump may be bad. Try Cycling the pump on and off a number of times to dislodge any debris in it.
If you have a valve to fill the tank from the city water connection, it may be open or faulty. Usually those that have this system have no gravity fill port.

jingle As lynnmor stated try cycling the pump off an on a number of times ... I would call Kz Customer service and ask for the nearest Kz dealer, they may steer you to Tacoma RV in Tacoma which is about 30 miles away from you ... Be advise when calling Kz customer service an they steer you toward Tacoma RV they had told me they were backed up and it would take at least a month for an appointment I believe there is also a Kz dealer North near Burlington or Bellingham WA off I-5 If you are headed south on I-5 after next week and still need help or tools we will be home after next Friday, we are off exit 88 on I-5, send me a PM Safe Travels & Don't forget about the Kz Rally this Summer Chuck

The over flow on city water is normally the check in the water pump, on a new unit likely a piece of debris from the lines, disassemble and clean. Friend that full times installed ball valves to fix the issue when he got tired of replacing/repairing pumps.

Thank you all for your responses. I will certainly see if it helps to turn the pump on and off and let you know. There is a switch in my outside storage that was turned off. Have no idea what it's for because it is not labeled. There are 2 other switches, one of light and the other for battery. The service guy at McClain's RV Super Store told me to turn it on, but I hesitate to do that since they were looking online to try and solve the problem.

Just a guess but is it a switch to turn on the water pump from out side? All 3 of my 5W's had outside switchs
