Hello all! My husband and I are new to KZ but not new to RV'ing. Back in '07-'10 we full timed in an RV. Now with my husband only having 3 years left to retire we are in the process of selling everything we own and going back full time. Hopefully we will have our home on the market within the next few months. We have been shopping for fifth wheels for the last several months and have come down to the KZ 370RLT. We have looked at other Fifth wheels but seem to be spoiled by what KZ has to offer at a reasonable price and lightest units class. We currently have a 2017 RAM Crew Cab Laramie and it will have a slider hitch and air bag system. If any of you have any input you'd like to share we'd love to hear it. I'm just happy to perhaps become part of a great KZ and RV'ing family! Hope to see you in the road!

tbgage Welcome to you and your husband, lots of great people here on the site with tons of information We have this past year traded in out 2006 Coachman 5th wheel for a new Kz 384RLT and love it, tons of room, it's well built and even thought it's 4k heaver that our old 5th wheel pulls better ... There is a number of us that have moved over to the Kz Durango Gold line from other brands, we all agree that Kz is building a very nice trailer with great options an you get more bang for the buck with them than any other brand ... I believe if we had seen the 370RLT we might have had a very hard decision on which to buy, the 370 or the 384 LOL ... If you read back on some of the post on this site you can read why a number of us are impressed with KZ ans why we bought such, as you said Kz has spoiled us with what they have to offer So far everyone who has dealt with Kz customer service when needed has nothing but great things to say when talking to them ... But saying the above, your dealer is the most important part of any buying experience as I am sure you well know buy now ... Safe Travels & Don't forget about the Kz Rally this Summer Chuck

I meant to specify that our truck is a 3/4 ton diesel. Any takes on whether that is fine or should we have a 1-ton SRW? If we ever upgrade it will be to a smaller fiver not a larger one. As I said previously input is greatly appreciated

tbgage Depending on what your trucks GVWR is and the weight of your trailer is depends on if you should upgrade to a larger truck. Your overall loaded weight of your trailer loaded weight is 14,500, Unloaded weight is 11,686, your pin weight 2,250 (weight of pin box sitting on your 5th wheel in the bed of your truck) ... So if you look inside the driver door there should be a plate that tells you what your trucks GVWR is, thus you can tell if you need to up-grade to a larger truck or not, I will say that many of the newer 3/4 ton pickups today have a GVWR of at least 14K to 16K or more. I will also say that moving up to a 1 ton will give you peace of mind an a little more stability in my mind, but lots of people pull 5th wheels with 3/4 ton pickups and have no problems at all ... We have a 1 ton DWD but we also have a trailer that's heavier and I like the stability of the DWD in the wind. Again stating the above we have friends who pull 5th wheel weighing up and over 12k with SRW 3/4 tons without a problem, it's all about safety, it's not about if your truck will pull your trailer, it's will it be able to stop it safely BTW I sort of laugh when you said that your next upgrade you may downsize, my way of thinking is that trailers are like boats, you start of with a dingy and end up with a yacht, you always need more room because the one you have seems to get smaller and smaller every year LOL (Big Grin) Safe Travels & Don't forget about the Kz Rally this Summer Chuck

Thank you everyone for the "welcomes" We're excited to be here! Where can I find more information on the KZ rally that happens this summer? I have seen many "mentions" about it but can't find any info. Hopefully we can participate. It would be wonderful to meet all of you there...

lazykzr, are you able to post a picture of your water panel? On my 2013, the drains are located underneath the RV, street side, in front of the wheels. There are 4 drains, 1 fresh water, 1 overflow (from fresh water tank) and 2 system emptying low point drains. On mine, everything except the overflow have valves on them.

lazykzr You might call Customer service at Kz an ask if they can send you Manuals, the dealer should have had manual only with two set of keys to your 1500.... Customer Service is (866) 472 5460 (8am to 5pm E.S.T) Or come to the Kz Rally and ask for such when we take the factory tour Safe Travels Chuck
