Main tank/extra tank switch has me puzzled. What's the function? Also, I have 2 black valves and one silver handle valve under the frame. Do I have 2 black tanks and one grey tank? My PDI was pretty much useless. The guy giving me instructions didn't know anything about this unit. I figured out real quick that the internet was going to give me the PDI better than this dealer. This is a link to my model for reference. www.kz-rv.com/products/durango-gold-fifth-wheels/G366FBT.html

Being you have a bath and a half you have 2 black tanks, thus the 2 black handles. Possibly the front bath gray and black water mix into 1 tank. I am not sure. The silver handle would be for the galley gray tank.
The switch that says main tank/extra tank will toggle between the 2 black tanks so you can read the levels of each tank. I would assume that the main tank is the front bath tank and the extra tank is the 1/2 bath.
This is JMO. You will need to play around with it and fill the tanks and see what works what?
You have 2 other options call KZ customer service or come to the rally this summer and we can figure it out together.
Or just come to the rally for the fun of it.

I'd bet like ours jetzen that the back bathroom mixes black and gray, the extra black for the 2nd bathroom and the gray for the galley ... As jetzen said, come to the Rally, meet a great bunch of folks, get some good grub, talk with the factory Tech's, did I say good Grub LOL and lots of fun Safe Travels Chuck

Also i forgot to say there is a bunch of us that bought different new models of Durango Gold 5th wheels... We all have had questions regarding our units, a number of the old timers here have help along with each other working out what is and what is not. This not to say that the Kz operators manual and other MFG has as well help allot and mine has gotten well used as I walk myself thought different functions ... As some of can tell you even with a good tech and 5, 6 hour PDI we still have questions and can't remember many things we were told and shown ... So saying the above that's what we are all here for, to learn, help and have fun doing such, so if you have a question about your trailer pop in ask, some may have the answer, if not I'm sure we all will put our head together and figure it out Again Welcome and Safe Travels Chuck

i have a new 2017 366fbt and had the same question. dealer checked with factory and said the black handle closest to the front of the rig dumps the black tank for the front bath. The silver handle dumps the gray water tank which is the tank for ALL the gray water in the rig, including the kitchen. The rear black handle dumps the black tank for the 1/2 bath only. I had trouble getting my gray water tank drained. Found the problem about 4 nights into 1st trip in rig when i noticed water backing up into shower even though we keep the gray water valve open for the1st few days of the trip. Dealer found some trash and debris where the 1 and 1/2 inch line from the gray tank ties into the big 4 inch drain line. They assure me that is fixed now. Leaving on a 2 week trip next saturday so i guess we'll find out. that and trouble getting both tv's to work when plugged into cable were the only significant problems we had with the unit so far. As soon as we picked it up we removed the "china bomb tires" and installed Bridgestone Duravis 250's , which i'm convinced are the best E rated tires on the market. I had a set on one of my previous rigs with NO problems. also had dealer install slide toppers on the 2 roadside slides, installed new electric cord reel and surge protector. I hope you have good luck with your unit.

Do you know if the wheels that come with our rig will handle 110 psi? I read on this forum that they do but I won't know until I pull a tire and look for the stamp. I do know I have to change the valve stems to steel.

Your wheels are the same as jetzen and mine and are rated for 110psi, make sure you get the metal valve stems put in when get your tires put on ...
I'm sure brmike will tell you the same thing

As far as i know Jetzen and chuck are correct about the wheels being able to handle G pressure, but have your install double check. I had a 2012 KZ stone ridge front living with Good year G614s on it and last march had a blow out on one of them. did about $1200 of damage on the rig. tore the back jack off also. Good Year g614s are generally considered to the the best G tire and i had good service on them for four and a half years, but even the best will fail on you. I was on a trip to pigeon forge, teen. when it happened and i didn't want o go home without a spare tire, so i bought a Sailun like you ordered for a spare. $210 installed versus $370 for the g614 Goodyear. I think short of spending the big money on the g614s, they are the best tire for the money. Then i decided to buy a new unit on the way home, so I guess I wasted my money!

Well I ran some test on the holding tanks today. I confirmed the following info using a in-line water meter.
First, the main tank/extra tank switch on the information panel is for the BLACK tanks only. With the switch on main tank you get black water level for the master bath. With the switch on extra tank you get black water levels for the half bath. Both tanks were drained, flushed and filled with fresh water through a water meter to confirm capacity. Both held 38 gallons when the LCD went to full. I'm confident that they will hold 40 gallons each.
I did confirm the lavatory in the half bath is piped to the (extra) BLACK TANK. All other sinks, lava and the shower is piped to the gray tank.
When I removed the basement wall to find a fix for this I found 3 heating ducts that fell off of the heater and were laying in the floor. Wiring laying against sharp metal edges on the heater. Overall it's a mess. Going to spend a good day taking time to properly connect the ducts and wiring.
On a good note the sink drain that's piped to the black tank will be an easy fix. I have a clear route to re-route the drain through the cabinet and connect it in the basement to the lavatory drains of the master bath.
Will update the fix for y'all in a couple of days.
- John

didn't want to but it looks like I'm going to have to take the basement wall off to see what is going on behind it

Been having my 366 for about a month. Toggle button main for black is next to grey handle. The half bath black is the stand alone valve. I have found out hard way that toggle button needs to stay on main. When checking grey and its on extra you will get no reading.

We have a 2018 340FLT with one bath. With both the black and grey tanks empty I get full readings with the switch on main but it shows empty on Extra. Since I only have one grey and one black tank I am thinking the switch is wired backward. Anyone else seen this? Thanks

The "gauges" are known to be unreliable, mine have not worked since new. The only one close is the fresh water I keep about 1/3 for flushing and washing while traveling. My black burps when getting full, kitchen sink doen't drain time to open the valve. Main gray has an alarm, "honey I'm standing in water!"
