I wish they would install a surge protector in the rv's from the factory. We have to buy enough extra stuff just to use the rv.

X2, a replaceable surge protector inside the RV is a great idea and removes the worry of theft of pole mounted protectors.

Yep I agree, I would have paid the extra, goo point to bring up at the Kz Rally this summer, might be a great selling point to out-do the other brands ...

I believe the 2017 Venom that I bought does come with a surge protector, at least that's what the information says. I had one installed in my Road Warrior so having one already included with the Venom was definitely a selling point, along with a lot of other features that really made it an upgrade for us.

Why not the surge or a power management system as options?

Edd I believe $300 extra is nothing when you are spending 60K on a unit, I will say maybe it would be a good idea as an option on the lower end units an TT but in the 2500 an 300 series it should not be a option.. My selling dealer offered a external 50amp surge protector as a feebe when we bought our 384R:T so when not just install one right off the bat Chuck

I agree upper end should have more standard features, and I believe they do, metal faucets not plastic, some of the things on the Golds aren't even available on the lower priced units. The large fridge? Vacuum system? Auto level? Multi batteries? E or G rated tires?

I had a 30a built-in hard-wired EMS system in my Spree 261RKS. It was very nice and I enjoyed the peace of mind. But now that I'm replacing the TT with a 5th wheel - Durango 1500 259RDD I must now buy another unit. Progressive industries makes a quite nice 50A portable EMS that I have ordered for the new Fiver. Being portable, it can stay with me if I trade in my unit for a another one in the future.

I know we didn't pay $60,000 for our Connect lite, but we have the same extra expenses as everyone else when we bought ours, so why should this just be provided just on the more expensive models? All TT are at risk of surges and doing damage to their TT. This is the list of stuff we have purchased in the last month that I feel should be included with EVERY unit: surge protector, locking battery box, and locks for propane tanks. It's amazing how much money we have spent to make our TT more secure from theft and damage from electrical surges.

Again this is something that should be discussed at the Kz rally while we have the managements attention I agree, no matter if you are paying $15K, $25K or $60K an extra $300 for peace of mine is not a deal breaker as far as I am concerned ... Safe travels an don't forget about the Kz national rally near the factory Chuck

Safe travels an don't forget about the Kz national rally near the factory Chuck Thanks Chuck. Unfortunately we will not be able to attend this year, but are planning to attend next year. I hope you don't mind sharing our wish list with management😊 One other item I would like to add to wish list of items that should come already furnished would be the bug screens. I know they aren't that expensive but again it's something that they recommend you install to keep motors etc working properly, so then they should come installed from the factory. when you start adding up everything you need on a new trailer it adds up fast. Not to mention other items for newbies with their first trailer, Like weight distribution sway bar hitch, proven industries puck lock for coupler, water hoses, tire chucks, leveling blocks, and all of the items needed for inside like dishes, towels, bedding etc. don't get me wrong we knew up front about all of these items and we are looking forward to our years ahead of camping, but would be grateful if they would install the safety stuff at factory that they recommend you purchase when you get the trailer. Thanks again Chuck !! Roxie

Bug screens? To put on what? Sorry, my mind is drawing a complete blank.

Some areas have bug problems, particularly mud dauber wasps. They like to get into propane appliance vents and build a nice nest out of mud. Since screens reduce flow just a bit, the appliance will be somewhat less efficient, so you wouldn't use the screens unless needed.
I know that everyone wants the manufacturer to add more things to their trailers, but this industry is highly competitive and ever nickle counts. If the unit can be sold without the items mentioned in previous posts, don't expect to see them added anytime soon.
