I have the above Jensen radio installed in my 2014 Durango 336RE. It has worked fine but this year as I started the season it keeps blowing fuses. I would appreciate any help with this issue. Is it repairable or does it need replaced.

AS jetzen stated 1. Is it blowing fuses in the trailer fuse panel ... 2. Is it blowing the fuses in line or in at the radio ... 3. Has the radio gotten wet over the winter some how ... 4. Have you added anything that required you to screw anything into the wall near the radio .... 5. Disconnect the power from the radio and see if it blows a fuse ... 6. Chuck the power while disconnected from the radio if possible with a volt/Ohm meter to see how much voltage you have and while radio is disconnect check number 5 above ... 7. Check along the power line if possible to see if you find any open wires that could or is rubbing again the other or metal ...

Have not made any changes in or around the radio. Fuse blows as soon as inserted. Not reading any voltage with power disconnected. There is a solid ground at the fuse link which I would think is wrong.

rveric,
Is it blowing fuses in the RV fuse panel or a inline fuse specifically for the radio?? It is blowing the fuse at the radio So not at the fuse panel, only at the radio is that correct ? Is there any way that the radio has gotten wet or damp over the winter ? Is there any way you can take the radio out of the trailer an hook it up to a outside 12v power supply with a fuse in line to see if it blows that fuse ... If it blows that fuse then it's time for a new radio .... I do not know if your radio is under warranty or is even covered by warranty but radios for the most part are pretty cheap now days

The Jensen radios are about the lowest quality available. Mine lasted about three years then I replaced it with a Boss unit. The Boss is not a high end unit, but works well and the price is fair.

Before you put in a new one check the speaker and the speaker wiring for shorts or bad speaker. If the unit has not gotten wet the output IC in the radio could possibly be bad. If its a direct short it will blow it IC right away if the speaker is out of tolerance it will work sometimes for a while then will go bad from getting to hot. If you put in a new radio already and noticed distortion or no output on one side do not use it and check the wiring and speakers with a meter.
