We have a 2017 Kz Durango 1500 259RD and when not hooked up to city water and dry camping have very low water pressure. I was wondering if anybody has any ideas as to why and where the water pump is.

I'm not sure where your pump would be. Does the pump cycle on and off when you're running water rather than running continuously? That would indicate to me a possible kink in the line between the pump and the fixtures.
Keep in mind that a pump does not give great water pressure as a general rule anyway.
Being a 2017, if you can't locate the problem easily, take it in for warranty work.

SD,
Check behind the rearward wall in the basement area, that is where mine is on my 2500 315RKD. Not sure how your unit is configured. I too have a bit lower pressure when using the pump as apposed to city pressure. How low is it? I have owned four 5TH wheels over the years and all were a bit lower using the pump. Not much but you could tell the difference. Most pumps are preset at 40-45 PSI and city inlet hose type regulators run 50-55 PSI if I remember right. Like johnr said, if it's that noticeable take it to your dealer. Happy Campin....
