Thank you for my acceptance. My wife and I are looking at purchasing our first fifth wheel and have settled on the 292BHT. Im curious as to how other 292BHT owners feel about this model and also how other owners of the Durango 1500 series feel about build quality. One specific question that doesnt seem addressed in the broshure is roof construction material. For instance, the Gold series says 5 inch aluminum rafters are used but it doesnt mention this for the 1500 series. Does this indicate that the rafters are wood with a 6 sided aluminum structure beneath?

I just purchased the d292bht. we love it!
as above construction is the same as the 2500. the nice thing about the 292 is it has 6000lb axles and has the same tires as the heavier 2500's so you have alot of extra capacity there. when we first looked at it the tech dropped the front legs and the left hit firstdue to the leg being lower and started lifting the trailer. there was zero frame flex with it being on one leg. I was pretty impressed. we had very few and very minor things that the dealer took care of before we took delivery.mostly adjusting drawers. the main bathroom door was warped and they had a replacement for us within 2 weeks. the dealer actually had the door on order before we even looked at it.

Thank you very much for the feedback. We looked at this model almost a year ago and have gone full circle through every bunkhouse we could find and always seem to come back to the 292. We spend most of our time outside and I think the fact that there are no slides under the awning is one of its greatest features. It is reassuring to hear from people who actually own one instead of reading horror stories on the internet.

Looks like we will be getting the 2017 292BHT next week. The one we found has stainless appliances and a darker wood stain than all the others of the same model. The 2017 brochure only shows one color option for cabinets but there apparently 2.

epinswla I sure know how excited you may be, we only had to wait a week for our new 5th wheel but it felt like a mouth Make sure you do a very good PDI before you sign on the dotted line, Kz make some very good trailers but as we all know there are times that workers make mistakes and none of us are perfect There are some discussion on the subject in different folders under Durango Sorry you can't make the Rally, let us all know how you like thought out you travels Safe Travels Chuck
