Well, we've had our K-Z Connect for 48 hours, and already have an issue. The bathroom door will close, but the latch will not engage, so you can just pull it or bump it open easily. As far as I can tell, height is right on and the latch should go into the strike.
Also, the top left corner and bottom right corner (as you face the door from the outside) stick out, while the opposite corners are flush with the wall.
Anything I can try to adjust before I call the dealer about warranty work? I triple checked to make sure the trailer is level.

Sounds to me like the door wasn't put on plumb.

The walls flex a lot. Be sure that the trailer is set up level and there is no excess weight put on any of the stabilizer jacks. Now check again and adjust the door as necessary. Mine was altered by the dealer before I bought it and I found that the incompetent "tech" carved out so much wood that it was nearly destroyed. I fixed it myself. You need to know that basic skills are needed by an RV owner and running to a dealer for minor issues, warrant or not, will be often be a bad experience.

X2 on what lynnmor said, the first thing you must check is if the trailer is level because everything will flex and if not level will not be in plumb. Also don't trust and waste you time with the dealer for a simple repair.

Agreed, level it first and see if it engages. Assuming you are level, and it still does not engage, and the door is level(put a level to it), then all you may need to do is move the striker plate slightly whichever way it needs to to engage the latch. Like jetzen said, don't waste your time taking it to the dealer for something simple like that. Unless you find a major issue or a litany of problems. Your time is worth a lot after all! Good Luck!

Thanks for the replies. Again, the trailer is level. Will my attempt to fix it affect the warranty if something else happens to the door? Given that the door sticks out so far on two of the corners (1/2 inch) and not at all on the other two, I guess I do not consider this a minor issue. My dealer is an hour and a half away from me, so I would not run back there if I felt is was a simple fix. There are some other matters that need to be addressed as well.
I'm sure that if I had too, I could fix it. I spent enough time over the last few years fixing our old trailer that it would not be a problem. But given that I just paid a bunch of money for this camper less than a week ago, I'm a bit aggravated by the situation (and I didn't expect everything to be perfect).

It should be level, but the most important thing is that you don't have too much force on a stabilizer jack. These things will twist easily. It does sound like some real sloppy workmanship and needs to be corrected, I can just say that mine was worse because a dealer fooled with it. You own the trailer and you should not have to tip toe around a warranty. After all the non-sense I went thru, I have more faith in the Easter Bunny than a warranty.

This will not effect your warranty, that us what they are for to fix mistakes made during the manufacturing on the trailer...
Get ready when you call the dealer for an appointment of any kind, this is their busy time of the year and it may take from a few weeks to a month just to get in, I tend to think a month maybe more than likely.
If in fact you do get an appointment, make sure you have a list of everything you see or found wrong, thus you are not just going there for one thing ...
This is why many here say if you can fix it yourself better off doing such, you sound like a fix-upper type of guy and if it's as bad a you say it may need a new door, when calling for an appointment make sure they under stand how bad the door is, take pictures and send them to the service department ...
If you can hold out the Kz Rally is coming up, the will be Kz reps there that can help you with problems you have as far as repair ...
safe travels

Well, just as Chuck suggested, it's about a month before I can get it looked at. So, I adjusted the door myself, enough that it will latch. It still isn't right, but for now it works. I figured we may as well just go through the camping season and keep track of any issues, and have them all taken care of at the end of the summer.
Camping season in Wisconsin is too short as it is, we would hate to miss time having the door looked at right in the middle of it.
Thanks to all for the input.

Chuck, While I would love to attend the rally, I don't think it's in the cards this year. Having two kids who are involved in baseball, soccer, and every other thing imaginable sure does take up a lot of time . I even try to squeeze work in (but only when I have to). Gotta enjoy it while they are young, I guess. They grow way too fast. I bet it will be a great time though. Wish we could make it.
