Reese Revolution or Sidewinder pin box. The Revolution is put on at the KZ factory so no warranty issues there. The Sidewinder is an OEM install but basically the same pin box.. |

Well I learned something new, I didn't know that Kz installed hitches, I thought they would have said something during the lunch at the rally or while were talking with them about the different units before the tours of the plant's Must have been the pizza I was eating when they said something about such  Safe Travels Chuck & Hildi |

Reese Revolution or Sidewinder pin box. The Revolution is put on at the KZ factory so no warranty issues there. The Sidewinder is an OEM install but basically the same pin box.. Sidewinder pin boxes are not available on a KZ 5th wheel product. They will also void the frame (structural) warranty if you install one. The Revolution pin box is available as an option on the Durango 1500 only. While in theory the Sidewinder and the Revolution perform the same function they are manufactured completely different and so is the initial setup (slightly different) and while you may find it hard to believe the nose area of the frame of the Durango 1500 was designed around the Revolution pin box (more conventional) so there would be no abnormal flex. While there are a lot of people using the sidewinder with no problems it tends to load the frame differently at high stress angles causing a lot of flex. You will also find that most manufacturers of 5th wheels do not recommend replacing the king pin pin box for a goose neck for the same reason. |
