So last October I bought a 2004 KZ Frontier and got a great deal. When we when camping in July, I noticed the floor was a bit soft in front of the Kitchen table. I got under the camper and cut the vapor barrier and watched in horror as a gallon or so of water came out.
Turns out it wasn't such a good deal. I lifted the Rug and saw the the previous scumb... owner had patch a few spots and covered the rest or the damage with a rug.
After I got home, I dove into the repair project. Turns out the entire frame from behind the wheels to the side out bed was rotten away. I am not sure how the walls stayed up with no support.
The camper was leaking from the bed slide-out, water was hitting the roof, getting under the rubber seal and following the bed slide to the lower wall, then leaking down the wall and into the floor. I fixed the leak by adding some lap sealant to lead the water back outside of the camper, and tilting the camper slightly toward the back.
So now I am rebuilding the entire Back half of the frame. I rebuild the wall framing, redid the Frame, Insulated with a water resistant insulation, and have since put down the plywood. I will next put down some pergo flooring and reinstall the kitchen table.
I am just waiting on new wall paneling from KZ.
I thought I would let you guys know what I am going through and I am sure it will look better than new when done.
Has anyone else ever had this type of leak?

Floor rotted. Floor Of My 2014 KZ ROTTED OUT do to a huge hole cUT in the plastic water barrier at the factory to run wires up inot the cabin. Wayer from the road would wash up on top of the plastic and just puddle in there til it rotted the wood all the way accross under the front floor. I had to replace it myself. Dealer would do nothing for me even though I paid them every year to inspect the trailer. Piss poor workmanship from KZ.
