It's a mystery to me why people carry ladders on the back of their RV's when they have a ladder attached to the RV already ? Ugh! For years and years I have been wondering why and no one seems to know why, they seem not to be short 5 or 6ft ladders but 10 or 12ft maybe bigger ... Maybe it to attach awning hold downs, maybe to wax ones trailer on a nice day or repair a marker light far from home, but it's still a mystery to me

I carry a 7 footer with me, why? Most of all to keep me off the roof and limits the use of the rear ladder, "they will work themselves loose after awhile". I stow it in the basement storage. Use it mainly to access the awning and clean the slide out roofs when needed, not to mention washing the 5TH wheel while on the road. It works for me, guess that's all that matters. Happy Campin....

I have a five foot that I use because I really don't like dirty windows and it's tall enough to reach them and the top of the TV roof. OSHA would crap watching the front cap get cleaned with it in the TV bed. (I have good health insurance)

LOL Edd505 I thought I was the only one who used a 5ft ladder to wax our front cap, I also back the truck up to the sides with the tailgate down to wax the sides. I also have good health insurance and a wife who is a RN who can tell the paramedic's what's wrong when they arrive on the seen... We also have two kids that are paramedic's an they yell at me every time they see me on that ladder on the back of the truck waxing the 5er... They both said they i'm nuts an yell at their mother for letting me do such, all she states is he's got good life insurance that I can collect if he kills himself. an I'm not taking him to the hospital if he brakes something, he can drive himself ... I love my wife but I'm starting to wonder if the feeling goes the other way, aren't nurses suppose to be good care givers Ugh LOL Chuck
