I purchased a new 2017 Sportsman Classic 181BH, this spring that I have not taken delivery of yet. I am looking to mount a hitch receiver on the bumper and putting a bumper rack to hold coolers and such. Does anyone know the weight capacity? Will this be an issue or should I be ok?

You'll need to contact the manufacturer or dealer to get the weight capacity of the bumper for your model.
Most people here will jump on and tell you that RV bumpers are not good for carrying things as they tend to twist and bend as your cargo bounces down the road. I personally had one twist while carrying 2 bikes with a hitch receiver setup. I don't use my bumper for anything anymore.

A spare tire maybe, but nothing else.

Welcome to the Kz Family and form I agree. those bumpers are not that strong for things attached to them Think of all the twisting, bouncing, shaking those bikes will do on the back of that TT going down the road and you will agree with us, not a good idea. Thought I have to say, you see lots of them doing such, but are there bumpers reinforced or are they just looking for the accident to happened somewhere down the road Safe travels Chuck & Hildi

I agree as well. My 19BH came with a spare tire carrier on it and I have pulled on it and felt that was probably about the limit of what I would want to put on it. I think you will be very dissapointed if you try to mount a hitch carrier on it without doing some custom bracing and reinforcing of the bumper.

I think I am just go to build some sort of rack to hold it over the propane tank in the front.

That might be your best bet. Post up a photo when you get it completed. It might interest others here.
