First of all welcome to the Kz family form and hopefully to the Kz Family
Thats a nice looking trailer, we just bought a G384FLT but it came with Provider ST235/80R16 which were made in
China...
I few of the folks here has stated that you can get the Goodyear's put on request for a few extra dollars on top
of the overall cost of the trailer, thus from either from the factory or dealer.
I wish I would have know because I would have ask for the swap-out but tow late now.
So I would ask the dealer in either way, if you are ordering one from the factory or buy one on the lot from a
dealer.
A number of us have just in the past came changed over from other brands to Kz Durango Gold 5th wheels and also
TT ...
All of us have had some small problems, like all brand now days with new units you have to look them over really
close while doing your PDI at the dealers lot before taking delivery. A few of us have has TV problems, one with
snow always on his TV and us with not getting the TV to work off the outside antenna, I'm still thinking mine is
operator error LOL.
Other than that I had a slide that wouldn't open all the way, lacked about 8 to 10 inches, I found out that they
had put to long of screws in the cross member under the bed, I replace the two screw and now slide works great.
Another fellow had some loose molding which was repaired by dealer, another had some heater duck work that was
not sealed all the, was repaired by dealer.
As any of these major, no, I believe like many other that Kz builds a pretty good trailer overall, are there some
that may disagree, sure, with any group you will have that 1 or 2 percent that get a bum unit. But if you do you
homework, a good PDI, and above all find a good dealer to deal with things go 100 percent better.
My dealer has called me now about 5 or 6 times asking how things were going, also making sure I am making a list
on thing that may be repaired, so far I have to laugh when they ask because I now only have one and it's minor.
One other member here bought a 5th wheel and had one or two things his 5th wheel needed repair, problem was his
dealer was 1000 miles away. He called around to two different Kz dealers and was told sorry you didn't buy from
us so take a hike... He finally call Kz customer service and they told him of a dealer who would honor the
warranty, it was in the next state but the dealer welcomed him with open arms... So the story is that if you
are over 150 miles from home call customer service and they will steer you into a Kz dealer who is friendly
an will honor any warranty work ...
So hopefully I didn't scare you to much, we really love our Durango, as you say there is so much room it's
scary... I am afraid the DW is going to overload ours, she keeps adding things in the cabinets every time
I turn around as well as the pantry Ugh
We hope you join the Kz family, I along with others believe you will not go wrong
Happy Trails
