Anyone using Nu Finish? How long? What do you use to keep it clean between polishing? It gets a lot of good reviews and it's highly recommended. I have some questions before I try it that are not addressed in the FAQ section of the Nu Finish web site but their "contact us" link doesn't work.

I use Nu-Finish have for years on all my cars, trucks and trailers pretty good stuff easy to work with lasts realistically about 6 months. I use Turtle Wax Zip Wax to wash everything. Thinking about trying this stuff next time topcoat.store/

I use McGuire's marine wash and wax. The dealer recommended it for fiberglass siding. It has sat outside for three years uncovered and still looks like new. No rubbing and that's what I like. A little pricey, but worth it. I use it when ever it needs to be cleaned. Maybe four times a year.

I use Nu-Finish and it works well on like new vehicles. Since I store my trailer indoors, applying once a year is plenty. If the vehicle is already weathered, then I would suggest a different product that can polish the oxidation.

Thanks jetzen and lynmor, you both hit on questions I had for Nu finish but they don't seem interested in taking any more. The trailer is a 2015 spree connect and is not weathered at all. I put two good coats of Attwood premium marine polish on it about a year ago and it looks great. Nu finish says to not use it over "wax". I don't know how much wax, if any the teflon marine polishes like Attwood contain. They advertise "polymers" that bond to the surface which sounds a lot like Nu finish. I wanted info on putting Nu finish over the Attwood. Also since every car wash I've looked at contains wax, how does this affect the Nu finish when it's time for a new coat. Like you jetzen, I have been using Turtle Wax wash to keep it clean. I know the wax in the wash probably doesn't last long and it sounds like you haven't had any issues using it. I've had years of experience polishing boats mostly with Starbright, and I know they would be great on the fiberglass trailer but the cost just keeps on increasing to the ridiculous. I can't justify paying it if Nu finish works as good and lasts as long or longer. Thanks again for your input.

I use Meguiar's cleaner wax over the entire RV. Then only on the front cap of the 5er, I put an additional coat of Meguiar's liquid glass (I think that's what it's called). It really shines it up nice. I also store indoors, so I only wax once a year. In between, I simply use a drop or two of Dawn dishwashing liquid soap and about 3 gallons of water.
The liquid glass on the front really helps keep bug splatter from sticking. They normally rinse right off or just hitting them with the brush. About the time I need to re-apply the wax, the bugs require a little more effort to remove.

2ndchance, did you look at the link I posted for that top coat stuff. It looks amazing but wondering if it is a lot of BS. Doing a 36 ft. 5th wheel with Nu-Finish takes me about 3 days and after I'm done I so sore and tired that I'm useless for another 3 days LOL. The new one will be 40 ft. guess it will take 4 days.

Edd505, what is nice about Nu-Finish is you can apply it in direct sunlight without any adverse affects. Goes on comes off very easy. I also use a random orbit polisher to apply it.

I would not mix wax and Nu-Finish. You could get a wax remover like body shops use, but I don't know if they have an adverse effect on decals. I never use a pressure spray like at a car wash, just too many places that water can be forced in. I use a garden hose, a long handled soft brush and No. 7 car wash.

Good info I carry an orbital polisher and have been known to work on the cap in camp as it takes the most beating. Truck gets it on occasion also, think it's due for a complete detail. Been windy so I'll put it in the shop and start working with the Nu-Finish.

I agree lynmor, I've decided to start using no 7 car wash to keep it clean, wait until the polish wears off and start using Nu Finish. I also worry that anything that would remove the polish might damage the decals.
jetzen, I did check out the Top Coat but the price quickly scared me off. It does sound too good to be true, especially "2 ounces to do an entire Ford F350 on the first application". One video stated "never polish your car again" but a testimonial stated it lasts 3 to 6 months.
Thanks again for all the input, Happy camping!

So Chuck, you're a "learn by watching" guy. I get where you're coming from! If I was going I'd definitely try to be the "bring the wax" or "bring the polisher" guy!
