I've been struggling for nine months trying to get the lights on my awning to work. They worked initially, but then quit. I read on this forum that someone else had a problem of a crimped wire near the motor. Found a similar problem. Fixed it, but lights still didn't work. I went to the dealer and asked the tech and he said to replace the switch. Did that and still didn't work. Finally I pulled the switch panel and really looked at the wires. Stuffed up above the wires I found a 2 amp in line fuse. Replaced and lights worked. No indication anywhere that this fuse existed. Just a heads up if you have a similar problem.
