The owners manual on our connect spree says the rear bumper will not support the weight of a bicycle rack, but then it goes on to say that some models will support the weight of a bike rack. I would prefer to use a bike rack on the camper but of course I would rather be safe...anyone have any insight to this? Or should I contact the factory? Right now I am mounting my bikes in the bed of my pickup.....Thank You

I think I would call the factory they have build spec's on all their units and should be able to tell you the difference.

My bikes go in the truck, under the cap, where they stay clean, dry and safe. Just google "trailer bumper bicycle failed" and select Images, also there is tons of reading as well. There is no way to know how much they are bouncing around back there.

I would not put bikes on a standard square RV bumper.

nightsky As Eddy505 said, call the factory an ask I know our old 5th wheel had a place to put a hitch or bike rack, called as ask, they said do not go over 250pds, I ask why in the world did they put it on the bumper then, their statement was "it is standard on that type of trailer " Ugh

nightsky, do you have those safety struts? Looking at the product images, it appears you would have to cut away the bottom part of the I-beam if it goes all the way to the bumper. I don't know why I think I have a tube going to my bumper, not an I-beam.
I'm also thinking, how would these solve the issue?
