What brand and wattage are the rooftop 13.5 btu ac units that are available for the Sportsman 19'? Will a 2,000 watt portable generator be enough to run the ac, lights, microwave, etc?

What brand and wattage are the rooftop 13.5 btu ac units that are available for the Sportsman 19'? Will a 2,000 watt portable generator be enough to run the ac, lights, microwave, etc? I have a Yamaha 2000iS and it will not run our 15.0 AC. It will run the microwave and and everything else. It did run our old camper's 13.5, but nothing else at the same time. And, we discovered that many of the 13.5 "sometimes" would run and sometimes would not. My nephew's AC would not, mine would. Remember that most 2000 watt generators don't "run" at 2000 watts, only for startup, so that's sort of "iffy". I also discovered that the Yamaha would run the older AC and my nephew's Honda would not. Hope that helped.

Helpful. I now found the Yamaha 2400iSHC. Sounds like it addresses some of the issues you mention when using a 13.5 ac. Thanx

That's a great generator. I looked at those, but was concerned about the weight. If that's not an issue for you, it will be just what you need. Probably won't run both the AC and microwave at the same time, but otherwise should be good to go.
Let us know how it works out.
