Edd505 First of all Welcome to the Durango Gold family, that is really nice unit, a few of us now have bought new units in the past few months but they have been the G384FLT's. We have taken delivery on ours but others are still waiting on theirs, I believe if I have seen the G353RKT we may have had a very hard time thinking about witch one to buy .... Again Welcome an don't forget about the KZ Rally in August in Indiana

Thanks for the reply. I have had mine about a month and had a couple minor issues. I have found it extremely easy to work on by removing a couple panels in the basement. So far water leaks under sink, both drain baskets and one supply line. One of the heater flex tubes came off, easy fix with the panels out, added aluminum tape to secure it. Having and issue with the main TV full of static? Looking at loose connections in the antenna system as the bedroom works well. The fan does not have a light kit and DW wanted a more subdued lighting in the evenings. The LED overheard are really bright. Changed out the fan for one from a big box store that has the candelabra bulbs.

Ok Edd505 Well we have only hauled our from the dealer 55 miles to our driveway, backed it in an parked it .... I have been playing with the controls fro the leveling system, opened up the slides, turned lights off an on, tried to get the TV to work other than cable but no luck on that so far .... Even thought they had water in the unit when we did our PDI I had them winterize it because we have been have freezing temperatures and I don't want to waste propane at over $2.00 a gallon right now ... Our trailer has the very light interior so with the lights on it very bright, almost at the point it's to bright when the two lights over the center island are on, sort od wish there was a dimmer switch on them There is a couple design things I'd like to talk to Kz about, one the way the awning on the main living room is placed (was told by dealer they could not put a slide topper on it by the factory) and the other is when the MorRyde steps are down the one side pushes against the wheel cover/fender. Don't get wrong I love the steps, solid as a rock, nice and wide and our Great Dane hated the steps on are old 5th wheel and walks right these, but they just push against the cover/fender... We are do for our 1st camping outing with the Good Sam camping club we belong to, it will be about 90 miles from the house so it will be a good shake down 1st outing to see if there is anything loose fittings or things that need tweaking Lastly I believe I have the DW almost talked into going to the KZ Rally in August, our next to youngest son finally gave us his graduation date from collage which is in June. Thus we can go to a tractor show in late June in Iowa, go see the Kids in Ohio an Delaware and hit the KZ Rally on the way home

Hi Chuck. Your TV system probably has a booster button that you need to press before programming airwave channels. It's normally right next to a 12V outlet, a little black button that when pressed a light will generally come on next to it. If that's not on, I won't get any channels at all, just static.
My Durango is a few years old, but my switch is in the bedroom in the TV box (can't call it a cabinet), up on the ceiling.
A note... make sure you don't leave that button pressed if you're storing the camper for any length of time. It is a drain on the battery.

Johnr I know you have told me this in another post, I looked behind the main TV in the living room but have not looked behind the one in the bedroom, i'm sure you must have told me to look there are well, but when looking I had forgotten about such Ugh ! .... I'm sure it's there and if it was a snake it more than likely would have bitten me Ugh .... I just can't see the forest from the trees in this case Ugh .... Right now I have all the power turned off, the power cable is stored, but I need to open things up in the next few days getting ready for our 1st outing of the year as i said in another post ..... I will make a large note to not leave the button turned on once I find it when not using using the trailer or storing it Again thank you very much for the help and pointing me in the right direction again

chuck reading the other post we have different units but the booster switch in mine is behind the bedroom TV on the ceiling. (poor location) I don't have and issue with the slide & fender. Slide toppers don't get a lot of use here in the SW and sites with trees are pretty clear though I do check for debris before retracting.

I will make a large note to not leave the button turned on once I find it when not using using the trailer or storing it It is not only the antenna amplifier that is a parasitic draw on the battery, the radio and CO detector is on as well and there may others. If you don't have a master switch for the battery, install one and turn off the battery whenever the trailer is not in use or connected to power.

Our G384RLT has a battery switch in it, turned off when ever not plugged in to my tractor Shop
Edd505
As you know the 100ft or higher pine trees out here shed all the time Ugh, thus the slide toppers
I believe on you unit the steps fold under you unit, were we have the new MORryde steps that do not fold under the trailer but lift an lock in the doorway. The are very light but you have to wipe them down to void dirt dropping into the unit .....
