Our new KZ Vision 23RL has many round LED ceiling lights. We were told that the entire fixture will need to be replaced when the LED dies. Where can we buy a few extra lights?

nevadatude, first I think the led lights will most likely last a very long time, longer than the standard light bulbs of older trailers. If you feel you still need to have a couple around confirm that in fact the whole fixture will need to be replaced rather than just a replacement lamp. I would most likely return to my selling dealer and purchase replacements just to make sure you are getting the correct one or if that is not possible and you want to do it online Dyers RV is a great place for replacement parts on the internet. I would stay away from places like amazon just for the frustration factor of getting the wrong/poor quality parts. follow this link www.dyersonline.com/

I've seen a lot of LED fixtures in the last year or two that are basically throw-aways when the bulb dies. I'm more concerned with the RV fixtures over the house ones because the RV does bounce down the road and I feel things are more likely to break.
I'd suggest buying however many you want from the dealer you bought the RV through. They can possibly get them from KZ so that they are a perfect match. If you wait until one breaks, you may not be able to get the same fixtures.
I personally like being able to change a bulb in a fixture that's working just fine.

There was a vendor at the Tampa RV show who would make any kind of LED light while you wait. Amazing work and good price. Perhaps visit a RV show??? Sorry but do not have the guy's contact info. Ed

Picked up our Connect 241rl today and the tech said the biggest cause of failures was due to people running their generators at too high a voltage. He said they don't like 14volts! they stock them now.

Picked up our Connect 241rl today and the tech said the biggest cause of failures was due to people running their generators at too high a voltage. He said they don't like 14volts! they stock them now. "Tech" should know that the 12 volt system, that powers all the low voltage things, is regulated by the converter. The high voltage system can be powered by the external shore power or a generator, it makes no difference. Yes, the converter also charges the battery and voltage is regulated from 12.8 volts to 14.4 volts, depending on the state of discharge of the battery. These voltages are normal and necessary to properly charge the battery, but LED lighting is sensitive to low or high voltage, and life of the bulb can be shortened. Many LED bulbs now have a built in voltage regulator and that will increase life, but those regulators often interfere with over the air TV reception. Some voltage regulated bulbs are better than others, but the price might be outrageous. What I do is buy spares of the cheap unregulated LED's from Ebay and not worry about failure. So far, they are doing fine and the TV works. The regulated bulbs could not be used with the TV.

I replaced all of the regular lights in my travel trailer with LED fixtures. I looked at the brand name of the original fixture, then I searched for the same brand with LED's. I did find them at several places on the internet, but bought them on ebay at a reasonable price. They were the same size as the fixtures that were in the trailer and mounted the same.
