In the 2017 286bhd the U shaped dinette is very small. A family of four can barely fit around it. What I did was removed the part that was under the window. Bought an RV freestanding table. and had the cushions on the backs shortened. Now I have a regular four person dinette and was able to add a bigger couch. I put in the theater seats with the center cup holders. This has been the best mod I have done and I wish it came from the factory this way. If anyone has questions Ill be glad to help out.

Would love to see some photos of this. We just purchased one with the same size dinette and that was my only worry/downfall of the trailer.

Can you give us pointers of things you really like in this floor plan as well as pointers to what we should make sure to watch for? We are in the process of buying now and one of my biggest concerns is whether the single ac unit will be sufficient. Any advice on that would be appreciated! |

I ordered ours with the free standing table - do not get the U shape it will only fit 2 people With it done at factory everything is perfect ie - carpet, wallpaper, etc.
Also 1 AC works just great - I did not want 2 as I did not want 50AMP....

One A/C might work where you do your camping. Living in an area with triple diget heat common & temps right now in the mid to upper 80's, I wouldn't even consider one A/C. There are times I wish I had a 3rd A/C.
