I just bought a 2011 Sportsmen Classic 16 ft travel trailer. When we were parking it in the backyard (kind of rough), we heard noises several times from inside that sounded like the microwave had fallen out and hit the floor! And when the trailer stopped, we could see some movement on the backside about 4 ft up from the ground, accompanying another loud bang. There is a little bathtub inside behind where the "flexing" appeared. But the microwave had not moved, and there were no doors that could have been banging and making the loud noises. We haven't been able to ride in it yet to listen from inside (too muddy to pull out), but I did pull it home 100 miles with no problems when I bought it. Does anyone have any ideas on what would make this kind of noise? Does the suspension flex on these things? It is only a one axle, and very bouncy. What should we look for?

Just a guess, but could the tire be hitting the inner part of the wheel well?

It made the noise while it was moving, but also after it stopped. Not sure wheelwell could have caused the back siding to look like it was flexing either, but thanks.

Before I bought the dually and I was using the weight distribution hitch, I heard all kinds of loud and strange noises coming from the hitch. I've also heard these noises on other people's hitches at campgrounds. Could be what you were hearing. Hope it will be that simple for you and nothing major.
