Back in the spring of 2010 I noticed a narrow "ridge" delamination on our 2008 Spree's curb side wall running down from near the roof line to the top of the window below it. It never got any worse but this year I noticed a couple of other very small delaminations in the same general area plus one fairly large bubble delamination that developed between the roof line and the top of the entry door. All of these are less evident when it's cold outside, more evident when it's hot. Like you I keep on top of the roof sealing and am confident this isn't a water leakage issue but rather adhesive that has just let go. These are all on the curb side of the trailer that's exposed directly to the sun throughout the day, while the street side that's usually just seeing shade all day doesn't exhibit any evidence of delamination at all. It's unfortunate as it's the only concern of any significance I've had about our Spree in the 5 seasons we've now owned it.

My delamination is happening on the streetside of trailer. It starts about 12inch down from roof line down to storage compartment door, and is about 15 to 18 inches wide. This has happened between May long weekend and Sept long weekend. Can't explain what has caused it but had estimate to repair and is 4000 dollars. Not very happy campers.KZ won`t do anything even though i was told by them that they had a problem with the roofs that year.

Well I've not had any problem with my TPO roof nor do I know of any friends also owning a Spree having problems so I'm not aware of any roof issue that you may be referring to. As far as KZ not being willing to do anything to resolve this issue for you I can't imagine why they would as your two year warranty on manufacturing defects has long expired. I agree it's disappointing but at the end of the day you're going to have to cover the cost of repair yourself if it's that important to you ... for me it's not so it's just something I'll have to live with.

i have the same issue with my 2008... mine is streetside & appears to be where there is a joint in the guttering next to the roof line... spot started small & now is approx. 1' x 18"
Bummed that they don't have a longer warranty for this sort of issue.

Noticed it this summer. Trying to find a phone number to talk to somebody at KZ or Venture about it since the trailer is less than 2 years old. Warranty finished in March, but hopefully I'll get some help on this since walls should no delaminate on a 1&1/2 year old camper. Anybody got any points of contact for Venture or KZ?

I have 2 spots on my MXT. One under the front storage hatch on the street side and the whole back wall. My trailer will run out of warranty in May so the dealer will get it back this winter!

Not sure what to say.. this camper is like new inside and has seen very little use. I was asked to send vin, year and photo to KZ which I did early this morning, but I never received reply albeit one day but it doesn't take more than a few strokes of a finger to confirm receipt. I'm not expecting much.

youtu.be/RsKeyap5Z7Y what are your thought edd? KZ responded in an email simply stating that the roof has never been treated, which is not true. They offered no potential fix, zero solution, no cause of damage or any advice. Just an opionion on roof treatment based off this video

If you read your warranty it states contact your dealer 1st an then if they are unwilling or if you have a problem contact Kz Customer service Per the Kz manual1.Contact your selling dealer’s service department for an appointment.
Describe to the best of your knowledge, the nature of the problem. Please keep appointments to establish a good,
workable relationship.
2.Contact the owner or general manager of the dealership should the initial attempt fail with the service department.
3.Contact:Customer Relations Department KZRV0985 N 900 W Shipshewana, IN 46565 Phone: (866) 472-5460 Hours: (8am-5pm E.S.T.)
Give all the above information as requested along with the serial number of the coach in question. KZ will make every attempt to resolve your problem. Please bear in mind that most problems arise
from misunderstandings concerning warranty coverage and service. In most instances, you will be
referred to the dealer level and your concerns will be resolved with the dealer’s facilities and personnel ..
-------------------------------------------------
As well a number of us have made appointments at the factory for repairs an they have been ready an waiting for us when we arrived an got us right into the shop ... The day we left from the Kz factory last year they were pulling in a 5th wheel that was made in 2012 which had some de-lamination on one side which the owner was paying for ... So asking for them to fix a 2006 trailer I believe is asking a little to much ...Of course one never knows unless you ask LOL, you never know, but I'd almost bet you would win a sweep stakes or lottery sooner that getting any Trailer MFG to fix a 12 to 13 year
old trailer no matter what the problem was or what brand of trailer it is ...
I will say that most roofs have a 10 year warranty on them from the material MFG, but that is only on the roof material it's self, not how the roof was put on, or how it was sealed when applied when the
trailer was new ... Thus the roof material MFG would pay for their material but not installation an I'd
almost bet they would find a way to wiggle out of that, saying you used something that made the
material go bad ...
Lets face it, a trailer is like a boat which is a big hole in the water that you dump money into buckets at a time to keep it from sinking .... In this case it a rolling earth quake going down the road at 60mph or higher trying to shake apart, best thing you can do is the preventive maintenance to keep it together or add upgrades to improve it overall from coming apart Ugh
Safe travels
Chuck

Last September I posted about a problem with gutter screws, that screw rusting issue can also be a problem anywhere screws penetrate the shell. How many of you actually looked for rusting screws and removed a few to inspect? The video in this thread clearly shows rusted screws and if one of them is removed the problem will become clear. Here is the link to my post, please report back with your findings.

Good idea Lynn. This camper has been in my family but I was never around it much until recently and was completely clueless about how cheaply built these things are. I’m guessing your advice is exactly where it’s leaking. I’ll pull out a screw or two next time I’m out at the barn.
