How do you open the kitchen outside exhaust vent on a KZ 263 spree. It has two tabs on bottom of the outside vent. Pushed in and pulled out tabs, not opening up. Do not want to put a screwdriver under the flap and force it, so what's the trick?

Sanden,
Just push on the two tabs simultaneously. The cover should pop open! It took me a while to figure it out. You want to push down on the tabs.

They can be very difficult to open the first few times and can be broken. If you gave it a maximum effort, let the dealer break it.

I really dislike the new tab design for the vents. I've seen too many people break them.

I don't care for the new hold downs either, mine was stuck because of the excess black sealant oozing out around the flap. Once I got it open (a great accomplishment in itself) I cleared the extra sealant away from the edges and also trimmed the tabs on the frame a bit, they snapped in really tight. Works much better now. Happy Camping....

I need to correct my previous post. You need to push UP not down on the tabs.
