Hello all! Family of four from Long Island, New York. We started 15 years ago in a Pop-up, and slowly progressed, up the ranks, to our newly purchased 2017 Durango Gold 382MBQ. My TV is a 2016 F-350 DRW. We are very excited to use it. Though the Winters in NY are not suitable for camping. As many parks are closed until Spring Thaw. We are gone for the entire Summer, from school ending until it starts. And we also travel through the Fall. We typically start around Easter. This year we are heading down for our annual trip to Ft. Wilderness.
This is our second Fiver. We traded our 2015 Open Range Roamer 384BHS for the Durango. Yes it is still very new for a trade. And we really liked the Open Range. However, it did not like us! That is putting it lightly. It was more like a Greek Tragedy! Many major issues, including water rotted sub floor from a leak from the toilet under the floor, slide gear boxes stripping, landing gear boxes stripping, to many to list! You should not have to cross your fingers when you are setting up, to ensure everything will work on your unit. And we spent last Summer on the West Coast. Needless to say we spent more nights in a hotel than our fiver. So we were very impressed with which the Durango was built. And no more cable slides!
Just a quick word about us and how we got here. Be well everyone and safe travels! Happy Holidays!
