Bought our first TT, a 2015 K-Z Vision 23BHS, back in June. We have taken her out 1-2 times a month and spent a week down in the TX Hill Country at Thanksgiving.
We stepped up from a 4 year run of tent camping/glamping. When you have enough gear for a family of four + two dachshunds that it fills a 5x8 enclosed cargo trailer and it takes 4-5 hours to break camp... it's TIME.
This is my 2nd TT (X and I had a 99 HR Rambler 29ft. Alumalite which was in sad shape), current Husband's first.
In spite of some challenges - dirty power that blew the circuitry, TP getting caught in the john which filled (empty, thank GOD) tanks with "a river runs thru it" being the theme du jour, and the need to upgrade our SUV that we knew when we bought the TT - we are LOVING the RV life!!!
But tent camping, we already knew we would!
We might even get our besties in on RV'ing. Being somewhat well off, I think they shunned notions of sleeping in a tent, but after seeing our little slice of home-on-wheels, I actually heard, "I could do THIS." One of the husband's coworkers is shopping this weekend, "I hear you guys talk and it sounds like you are having so much fun..."
Yes, it is. I have owned lakefront property, boats, sea doos, etc. We live for 3-day weekends and vacations these days....
