If you have photo editing software, perhaps you can reduce the resolution to make a smaller file. Also, crop the photo as much as possible. If all else fails, retake the photo with the camera set at a lower resolution.

I found that I had to resize the picture so that the file size was smaller. Like Lynnmor said, download a photo editor.
