I spoke with KZ customer service today. Bless their hearts, they do try.
One of my questions was, where is the check valve on my black water tank? Well, first they told me it was right behind the wall where I hook up the water to flush the tank with. So when I told them it
wasn't there as I had that part off. After a rather lengthy wait on hold they came back and told me it was under the bathroom sink. So with them still on the phone, I walked out and checked. No, it wasn't there either.
They then said they would have to call me back, and they did, very promptly. This time they said it was under my kitchen sink and sent me a picture of what it might look like. Well I checked under the sink and guess what? It wasn't there either. To shorten the story, I pulled out the kitchen drawers to the right of the kitchen sink and guess what I found? Yep, the black tank check valve.
Now I need someone to explain to me what use is this valve if it is 12 feet or more from the black water tank?
Now I need someone to explain to me how to winterize this line. You see from where you connect the water it goes through the wall, then down about 2 feet, then over about 1 foot, then up about
2 feet to the valve, through the valve and back down under the floor and to the black water tank. Most of the line after the check valve is the lowest part of this system so water just lays in it with no
where to go. Maybe I should explain that my rv has a rear kitchen and the bathroom is about 15 foot toward the front of the rv, next to the bedroom.
I also wonder if you need to use a water pressure valve to control the amount of water pressure that goes into the flush valve line?
So if anyone has winterized a line like this, I would appreciate an opinion.
