I was following a camper and noticed that his trailer brake/turn signal lights were very bright and noticeable and thought this would be a great modification as I thought the the turn signal lights were marginal, at best. Our camper is a Spree Escape 196S, but my guess is many KZ campers use the same tail light. The bulb in our camper is an 1157.
Has anyone replaced there incandescent bulbs with LEDs? What advice do you have?
Thanks,

Often just replacing the bulb results with even less light. The assemblies containing the LEDs should give you the performance you seek. It doesn't cost much to try a bulb, just do one and compare.

I installed a pair command electronic led tail lights on my e196s. Flush mounted and very clean look.

The lights are about the same size horizontally. They are much brighter than the stock lights. Had to drill new mounting holes but no big deal and installed a new license plate frame bracket with light. I bought them online at www.commandelectronics.com/shop/. This was an easy install and took about an hour.

Yep, already did it to my Durango 1500. HUGE difference in light output. You can actually see them in bright sunlight now. kzfamilyforum.com/post/177

Oh, and as an FYI If you are looking for really good prices on interior LED replacement bulbs, check out this site. www.cabinbright.com/He offers true 4100K LED's. That is by far much closer to natural daylight and easier on the eyes.

I've always been afraid of switching to LED inside. Every LED I've seen is a very white light, but we prefer a soft light or warm light in the RV. Does anyone know what would produce the same feeling as the incandescent bulbs that come with the camper?

I changed my interior lights to LED. Now I never hear the converter run as I did before. I did get the higher kelvin LED's. If you want a warmer light go with a lower kelvin bulb.
