We know that we're probably going to change from our TT to a 5th as we're getting ready to travel a bit more and this trailer interests us- alot. Love the rear kitchen and the space. Also really like the fact that there's no table, just a breakfast bar which is part of the countertop. I really like the living space in the middle - cozy. One of the nicest layouts with lots of windows to enjoy viewing the outdoor beauty.
One of the things though that really got our attention was the size of the tanks - grey - 114 gals., waste - 57gals, fresh water- 100 gals. - Wow! The majority if not all of our camping is in Ontario Provincial Parks with the odd trip down to a State Park in the US. These parks have trailer dumping stations but don't have direct hookup for fresh water or sewer. With the size of these tanks that would mean my hubby would probably be able to go the 10 days without having to use the portable waste water tank!
So finally to my questions...
1) I've read a couple of posts where folks say to make sure you don't overload but I'd say that's easy to do with any trailer - but looking at the weights and if it's fully loaded but not overloaded can this be towed with a 3/4 ton or do you need to have a one ton? Also how does it pull and what is the turning radius like?
2) With the tanks being so large do you get any odors omitting from them if you use them for 10days or so without emptying?
3) Has everyone upgraded to the larger 12cubic fridge or did you stay with the standard 8cubic one? Personally I would have thought that the larger fridge would have been standard in a model like this.
4) Is this considered a 3 season only trailer and are the tanks insulated & heated as I've noticed in some competitor models - I've looked and maybe I'm missing where the information is but I don't see it.
5) How does the price point and quality of this trailer compare with other makes and brands?
I know...lots of questions but I really like to make an informed decision. Thanks in advance for your answers and help
