The wires that power the lights in the couch area of the slide are routed through a 2" tube in the slide. The roller for the slide is also in that tube. First time it started blowing fuses I pulled the bottom cover down and repaired bare wire. Thought I insulated it well. Now it is again blowing fuse and appears not to be connected any more. Any hints as how to stop this or how to reroute a wire that has to move with slide?? Attachments:

What about covering the areas that will rub with a plastic split conduit cable?

Tried that last time, I think that plus my Gorilla tape got stuck and pulled my splice apart. If it wasn't for the full covered under belly, it wouldn't be so hard. I have considered taking the cover off completely.

So we solved the problem with the AC power with the help of a friend of my daughter who is an electrician. After finding no tripped breakers, blown fuses or any other reason for no power he started at the plug and found a set of burnt wires just inside the trailer in a connection box under the couch. In fact he smelled it before he actually found it although it failed 4 days ago. I couldn’t smell it even after he mentioned the smell. Trick of the trade I guess.
Anyway the electric heater was rated at 1500 watts but he said the breakers are only rated at 80% of their list amperage so when I turned the heat up the wires heated up and separated before the breaker tripped. Some melted insulation though although we did not smell anything at the time. When he inspected the burnt wire he found the marets were huge for the two wires inside them and so wires can jiggle around and separate. He replaced the marets on all the connections for me.
