I have a pro series friction control sway bar on my hitch and wanted to know if I should tighten it down "tight" or back it off some for towing? Also if I'm off of the highway and just a few(2-3 miles) from our campground, would it be ok to take it off, or wait til in the campground and parked? THANKS!

I tighten mine until the handle stops spinning and then give it about another half to three-quarters of a turn. Never had any sway problems.

You tighten the handle to activate sway control. The bolt is the adjustment for the amount of control.
